Scope and site identity

This Privacy Policy applies to MeasureTally, a website that provides home-improvement material calculators and related information. The current site does not offer accounts, login, checkout, payment, or a newsletter.

Information you provide by email

If you email MeasureTally, your message may include your email address, name, project details, calculator inputs, and any other information you choose to provide. We use that information to read, respond to, and investigate your request or feedback. Please do not send sensitive personal information.

Calculator inputs

Current calculator calculations run in your browser. MeasureTally does not intentionally send the calculator inputs you enter to a server as part of performing those calculations. If you choose to include inputs in an email, they are handled as part of that message instead.

Technical information and infrastructure

Like most websites, MeasureTally and its hosting or infrastructure providers may process basic technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include an IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or device information, and security or diagnostic logs. Such processing supports site delivery, reliability, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.

Cookies and analytics

MeasureTally does not currently use cookies for advertising or third-party behavioral analytics. GA4, advertising pixels, and marketing trackers are not currently enabled. Vercel Web Analytics is not currently enabled.

If privacy-oriented site analytics are introduced later, this policy may be updated to describe that processing. Calculator values, email addresses, names, and other user inputs will not be intentionally placed into analytics custom events or persistent analytics identifiers.

Third-party links

MeasureTally may link to manufacturers, retailers, standards bodies, or other third-party websites. Their privacy practices and content are governed by their own policies, and this policy does not apply after you leave MeasureTally.

Retention

Email messages may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to respond, investigate an issue, keep a useful support record, or meet applicable obligations. Infrastructure providers may retain technical logs under their own operational and security schedules. Information is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to technical, legal, and backup constraints.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about, access, correct, or delete certain personal information, or to object to or limit certain processing. To make a request, use the contact details below. We may need enough information to understand and verify the request, and applicable law may provide exceptions.

Children's privacy

MeasureTally is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information by email, contact us so the situation can be reviewed.

Changes to this policy

This policy may change as the site, its providers, or applicable requirements change. The date above will be updated when a revised policy is published.
